Well… this week didn’t go like I planned. At all.
The short of it: My 2 year old car has frame damage that it likely had when I bought it. New. I’m not very happy and I’ve spent over 12 hours dealing with this in the last two days, plus just being really upset about it and the whole: WHO is going to fix it? Can it BE fixed? How did it happen? (I’m not happy with the dealership, which I have since found has an F rating with the BBB.) Of course, this was after over $300 in maintenance including $72 to do a realignment of the tires only to be told that realigning the tires messes up the car. 9.9 (There’s a piece of metal bent toward the right tire on the passenger side along with other frame damage on that side.) It leans heavily left when the tires are aligned right. It’s ALWAYS gone toward the left, which is now disturbing to me since I thought it was supposed to go left.. but it’s actually RIGHT that it’s supposed to go toward.
Sites are stable and updates will go up next week. No updates on the 24th and 25th.
Check back frequently or drop me an email if you’re interested in one of the Christmas themed commissions. I’m still accepting them, but only a couple at a time. I still have $200 to raise to cover all the maintenance work. :/
Has anybody else noticed that the poll on the left side of the Shivae.net page has percentages that don’t match the actual percentage of votes.
And they add up to 114 percent!
It doesn’t really affect the results, but it is just WEIRD!
Lemon law that car. A car with a damaged chassis is not a good thing. Yes, it may be able to be repaired, using a frame straightener, but that isn’t always going to work and it is expensive, and the car’s rigidity will be slightly decreased. Just keep your cool and don’t let the issue fall on the back burner.
