Justin stepped aside to let Jordan into their little circle, Tina moving around to Irma’s side and looking down at the floor respectfully. Irma quickly moved her arm, feeling suddenly like she should be more formal in Jordan’s
presence.

“I need to have a word with you, Blake,.. alone.” Jordan spoke lowly, obviously not wanting to attract any attention from anyone but his brothers and sisters.

“Anything,” Blake glared defiantly at Jordan. “,… you have to say to me can be said in front of our brothers and sisters, Jordan.”

Jordan looked up, pointedly looking at Tina, Irma and Jordan with a look that showed he meant business and they’d better not cross him. “Don’t make me use my position, Blake.” His gaze settled on his youngest brother. “We’re all family here.”

“And you’re not using it right now just in that statement?” Blake had a problem with keeping his comments to himself.
